Gordon T. Nihei

Gordon is a graduate of the University of Hawaii School of Business and the Pacific Coast Banking School facilitated at the University of Washington. He retired from Bank of Hawaii as a Senior Vice President in 2008 and as a partner in a commercial insurance agency in 2014. He is also a former Chair and Board Member at the Hawaii Pacific Health Hospital at Pali Momi.


Chad R. Sakumoto

Chad is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College double majoring in Economics and History (cum laude). He began his career at Bank of Hawaii and worked in commercial banking and commercial real estate finance until 2007 when he left to work as the Chief Investment Officer for a privately held Hawaii company. He was a member of the Pacific Century Fellows Class of 2010 and is a past board member of the GIFT Foundation of Hawaii.


Both Gordon and Chad are heavily influenced by the teachings and investment philosophies of Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Benjamin Graham, Phil Fisher, and Seth Klarman.
